Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China and the National Gallery for Contemporary Art of Romania, curated by Mr. Xin Dong Cheng, the exhibition of “China-East Europe. New Sights in Chinese Contemporary Art” will be opening in Bucharest，the capital of Romania. This exhibition time is from 10th June to 15th July 2013, which brings together nearly 40 artists who are the most representative in contemporary Chinese art. These artists includes Wang Guangyi, Fang Lijun, Yue Minjue, Zhang Xiaogang, Wang Ningde, Tang Zhigang, Yin Zhaoyang, Xue Song, Feng Zhengjie, Qi Zhilong, Ji Dachun, Ye Yongqing, Zhong Biao, Wang Gongxin, Lu Hao and so on. Their works demonstrate the pluralism and nationality through various forms such as painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation，showing the world with the concerns and reflections in art to the contemporary reality within the drastic reformation in China during the new era, epitomizing the vividness of the rapid development of contemporary Chinese Art in multiple aspects as content, form and thinking. This exhibition aims to bring out the outstanding contemporary art in China to the world, opening a more intuitive, vital window for the western audience to understand China with significance. At the same time, the exhibition is also a perfect opportunity for the communication between China and Romania. It ought to be anticipated that through the process of the encounter, impact, gaze as well as contemplation, there will be a better state in contemporary art.
